The speed of urban sprawl and the impassivity of urban residents grow hand in hand. The city itself is not the cause of the impassivity. The souls of the residents just stopped flexing after urbanization becomes a way of life. Under heavy pressure, the interaction between the residents and the surroundings has become less and less. Just think of yourself. How long have you not been stopping just to smell the flowers around you?
Amusement is an attitude toward life. And, amusement is your goal for the 2007 Taiwan International Design Competition. Domestic or foreign designers, teachers or students of design related departments or schools, freelance designers are all invited to participate as individuals or in groups. There is no limit to the number of submissions.
Your goal is to design a futuristic product design that incorporates the theme, “Amusement.” Sign-up deadline is 10 May 2007 at 17:00 Taipei Time. Since there are many details to this competition and the site hasn’t issued a press release to date (this is a new contest), I’ll just point you to the Web site. Have fun!
